The Importance Of Spiritual Healing
With a world that is primarily governed by materialism and science, it is very difficult for people to fully grasp the concept of spiritual healing. People are too concerned into making themselves the best if not the most affluent. There is a race for time and wealth, and in all aspects of materialism that most of the time they already forget the need to fill in the gaps within their souls.
And with all of the material things and richness that engulf a person, there is still the feeling of dissatisfaction and discontentment for reasons he can vaguely quite point out. It is only on such an event that this person truly realizes his needs for something far beyond the riches or fame; and when he can fully say that he is at peace and truly satisfied with his life.
Opening Your Mind, Body And Soul
Although spiritual healing can seem like an old-fashioned belief for most people, it is still an important aspect that should persist over the generations. A lot of people still believe in it and they cannot totally ignore its effectiveness; especially to those who solicit for it. And in order for any person to be healed in a spiritual sense, you will need to open up not only your mind but also your heart and soul. There is the need to feel connected with God and therefore, the need to accept the fact that God exists among us. Likewise, you need to have total faith in Him so that as soon as you accept Him and His healing, you are then right away saved.
And in instances that you develop some physical illness, it is actually an indication that you have a weak soul. If you remember, your soul is always connected to your body and therefore, when your soul is weakened, your physical body is then vulnerable to all sorts of temptations and negative energy.
Being Aware Of The Laws of The Universe
Accept spiritual healing and everything will be well. Whoever will heal the ill person should be aware of the laws of the universe as well as its governing principles. It is important that the spiritual healer follow such laws of the universe and use pure life energy into restoring the ill fated individual into his normal state. Such king of healing, aside from following the laws of the universe, also includes different conventional medicine healing that can do well not only to the body but also to both mind and spirit.
Clearly now, the concept and an attitude like spirituality is not something to be done only once but it is something to be achieved for a lifetime. It is important that you, being a person with a keen sense of spirituality, do not forget about it and instead practise it as often as possible. That way, you will surely receive the benefits associated with a high spiritual living. Remember, as long as you understand the importance of spiritual healing, you follow your spirituality; at the same time, you obey the laws of the universe, it will definitely be much easier for you to be one with your body and with the whole of the world. Such a connection is very important to make sure that you can truly live in peace and harmony for all of your lifetime.

Daniel Diet Biblical Fasting As Described in the Bible
Daniel Diet Biblical Fasting As Described in the Bible
The Daniel Diet is not simply a fad diet to lose weight. Instead, it is a spiritual commitment that may result in a drop in pounds. But, first and foremost, it is designed to improve your relationship with God.
The Daniel diet is based on a verse from the Bible. Daniel 1:18 says, Daniel proposed in his heart that he would not defile himself. At the time, the Hebrews were living in exile in Babylonia. Daniel was an adviser to the Babylonian king.
The Babylonian king ate all kinds of foods restricted to Jews. This included non kosher foods, wine, and foods and drinks that had been offered to idols.
The modern day Daniel diet popularized by author and pastor Rev. Elmer Townes does not require that you follow the same program that the Biblical Daniel did.
The Daniel fast is not a full fast. You are allowed to eat whole grains, legumes, fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts, and water, fruit juices and vegetable juices.
You must specifically avoid all meat, white flour or white rice, fried foods, caffeine, carbonated beverages (including diet soda), alcohol, foods with any preservatives or additives, refined sugar, high fructose corn syrup, chemical sugar substitutes like equal, and margarine, shortening or any product with animal fats.
Before you begin the diet part of the Daniel fast, you need to prepare spiritually through prayer. Make a commitment to stay on the diet for a specified period and publicize it by writing it down and telling your family, friends and faith partners what you have promised God you will do.
You will also need to prepare yourself physically for the diet. If you are addicted to caffeine, it is a good idea to wean yourself off of coffee or soda for two weeks before starting the Daniel diet. Also, begin reducing meat consumption ahead of time so that this is not a shock to your system.
The length of time you stay on the Daniel Diet depends on you. Remember, this is not primarily a weight loss plan but a spiritual redemption. Some people make a commitment to stay on the fast for the rest of their lives. Many churches are doing a church-wide Daniel fast for 21 days encompassing 4 Sundays. This stems from a 21 day fast that Daniel recounted in Daniel chapter 10. Other people fast for the entire 40 days of Lent. However, you can do the Daniel fast for as little as 7 days and see results.
Some people report that they do a one day a week complete fast as a sacrifice to the Lord.
Here are some tips to help you be successful on the Daniel Diet.
1.Be specific about the amount of time you will spend on the diet.
2.Use the fasting as a spiritual commitment not a weight loss plan.
3.Use your external discipline to reflect your internal desire.
4.Pray and ask God to show you what sins role is in your physical problems.
5.Use your fast as a testimony to others.
6.Use your fast to learn the effects of the food you eat on your body.
7.Give praise to God for whatever successes you have on the Daniel Diet.

Nutritious And Healthy Uses Of Apple Juice
Nutritious And Healthy Uses Of Apple Juice
Kevin Pederson
Apple juice is good as a nutritious drink but excellent in
overcoming a liverish feeling, in helping sort out digestive
disturbances and for flushing the kidneys. Many of these health
providing properties are retained in cider vinegar, so if you
cannot obtain apples to prepare your juice you can use instead
two teaspoonfuls of cider vinegar in a glass of water.
Besides being a great cleanser, the apple juice diet purifies
the blood and is helpful for skin and liver, and as a general
tonic. After juicing, the liquid often oxidizes quickly so it is
best to store for even a short while in the refrigerator. Apples
contain some 15 calories per oz (220KJ per 100g). The vitamins
present include C, thiamine, riboflavin, nicotinic acid,
carotene, B6, biotin and folic acid.
There is a little sodium and a lot of potassium and phosphorus.
Until the 1930s apples were regarded as an important indicated
source of vitamin C. Then some scientist carried out a few
analyses which indicated very low amounts of vitamin C. It took
years for the poor apples to return to favor, for what the
chemist found out was partially true. Modem research shows a
fluctuation between 2.3mg per 100g (4oz), in the worst
varieties, to 31.8mg in the best.
Those high in vitamin C include Ribston Pippin, Golden Noble,
Reinette, Ontario, King of the Pippins, Bramleys, Beauty of
Bath, Blenheim Orange, Cox’s and jonathans. The poor providers
include Rome Beauty, Laxton’s Superb and James Grieve. Around
the low middle are such favorites as Golden Delicious and
Worcester Pearmain. Oranges and lemons are more important as
providers of vitamin C, but apples, unlike citrus fruits, have
very high mineral contents, and also pectins, malic acid and
tannic acid, all of which are of the greatest therapeutic
importance in normalizing the intestines.

remedies websites which have information on some nutritious
juices of apple which is good for diet as well as
nutrition.

Is That Healthy Fish Really So Healthful?
By Margot B
ELLE Magazine’s April issue explores how the most health-conscious eaters may be exposing themselves to dangerous levels of mercury. For years fish has been a dietary staple among weight-watchers and the most health-conscious consumers. Many believe that the omega-3 fatty acids in salmon and tuna can prevent heart disease and wrinkles as well as make their brains both brainier and less susceptible to depression.
However, Dr. Jane Hightower, [an Internal medicine specialist] reports in ELLE’s April issue, that a dangerous level of mercury is found in some very common types of fish: swordfish, shark, ahi, canned tuna. She discusses the three-year study that led to her concluding that too much of the wrong kind of fish can give you a nasty case of mercury poisoning.
Hightower reports the symptoms of mercury poisoning to include fatigue, headaches, hair loss, and neurological problems, ranging from numbness, muscle weakness, altered vision and hearing, slurred speech, to convulsions and dementia.
Hightower’s claim has touched off controversy from nationwide, pitting federal agencies and fishing industry against environmentalists and health enthusiasts. ‘Virtually all fish contain traces of methyl mercury’ Hightower reveals. ‘In lakes and rivers, where pollution is often quite concentrated, even small fish can have large amounts.’ ‘In oceans, it’s the big predatory species at the top of the food chain that ends up with
the most mercury; these fish may feast for years on smaller fish before becoming fillets themselves. Swordfish, which may be among the largest sea creatures regularly consumed by humans, may accumulate several million times the amount of mercury found in the surrounding water, according to the EPA.’
Some healthy hints from Dr. Hightower:
* Eat more salmon – the fish highest in omega-3-like salmon and
sardines, contain very low levels of mercury.
* Limit fish if you are pregnant [or trying]. Eat no more than 12-ounces
a week, and avoid swordfish, shark, king mackerel, and tilefish.
* Go for variety – eat different kinds of fish.
* Think small – little fish tend to be lower in mercury. Eating smaller
portions also helps.
* Don’t be afraid – occasionally bingeing on sushi or eating
swordfish all week on vacation won’t hurt you.
