Weight Loss Drugs And Teens-Parents Need To Monitor
When it comes to weight loss drugs and teens it may be a case of picking the lesser of two evils. As parents we are never thrilled to give our kids any type of medication unless absolutely necessary. Many of us are concerned about any possible long term side effects. Weight loss drugs are no different.
As parents we don’t take the idea of weight loss drugs and teens lightly. But, if your teenager is obese and you need something that will help them start along a healthier path, isn’t it worth it?
I’m not a doctor and only your doctor can provide you with bona fide medical advice, but as a parent I would balance the pros and cons and proceed with the advice of my doctor.
For example, if my child was only mildly overweight, say between 20 -50 lbs. I would probably encourage them to lose weight in a more natural way. I would tell them how to eat better and encourage them to get more exercise.
Actually, that is exactly what I did when my child needed to lose weight. I worked out with him (though he only wanted to go when there was no one at the gym so we went to workout at midnight!).
But it was good for him to see his mom working out too. And though he would never admit it, I think he really appreciated the motivation and the fact that I was willing to go with him.
If your teen is hundreds of pounds overweight, though, you may need something a little more drastic. Weight loss takes time and anyone who tries to tell you different is lying (or trying to sell you something or both). Since it takes time it can seem overwhelming and it may make your teen reluctant to even start.
Any short term solution that can help them start to see results more quickly may be necessary to help your teen succeed in their weight loss goals.
It’s important for the success of your teen getting in shape that they approach this process with realistic expectations and time frames.
It will only discourage them if they think they will have a certain result in a certain time frame and they don’t achieve that goal.
But, seeing even small results may help them stay motivated and encourage them to keep going. And that is where supplements may be able to come in.
Some supplements that can help your teen kick start their weight loss and allow them to see some results fairly quickly (even if it is just water weight) might still be enough to keep them motivated and moving forward.
So, if you want to help your teen get in better shape, either try to do it yourself by encouraging more exercise and better eating habits, or talk to you doctor about some sort of supplements.
Weight loss drugs and teens may not be an ideal combination but in some cases it may just be the lesser or two evils.

Green Tea And Weight Loss Go Together
Have you ever noticed that you can often find green tea or its extracts being sold near other weight loss products? Perhaps you never thought twice about it, but they don’t sell coffee, milk or other such beverages there, so why green tea? Let’s take a look at green tea and weight loss.
While it may not be 100% perfect (nothing is), you will see that green tea does have some pretty impressive benefits; not only on how much you weigh, but on your overall health as well. Ancient cultures have been aware of these properties for ages, but it is only recently that Western medicine and science have started to see how much this unassuming plant can do.
Before we get to the good stuff, it’s only fair to offer a few warnings. First, green tea contains caffeine, so those who can’t tolerate it, or have to avoid it for spiritual or health reasons shouldn’t drink it. Second, you should talk to your doctor before making any changes to your diet. Finally, none of the information in this article is meant to be medical advice of any kind. Always consult with your doctor and follow their advice. Okay, now on to the good stuff…
Green tea contains catechin polyphenols, which are powerful antioxidants. These appear to be the source of a lot of the health benefits associated with drinking green tea. Furthermore, the catechin increases your metabolism. Some studies have shown that green tea can boost your metabolism by as much as 4% for a full 24 hours after drinking it. Imagine drinking a cup or two of tea and then burning extra calories for a day afterwards.
The better metabolic rate is only the start of the good news about green tea and weight loss. One of the biggest problems with going on a diet is that you always seem to feel hungry. But green tea comes to the rescue yet again! How? First it helps to regulate blood sugar levels, which play an important part in how full we feel. Next, the polyphenols in green tea may suppress the body’s production of the enzyme leptin which makes us feel hungry. So, it not only makes you feel fuller, it also makes you less hungry at the same time.
So far it’s easy to see how green tea is a natural ally in the fight for losing weight, but we’re not quite done yet. As if increased metabolism and feeling full weren’t enough, there is also some evidence that compounds found in green tea reduce how much fat the body absorbs. The catechins, caffeine and theanine work to inhibit the lipase enzymes that signal the body to store fat.
Add to all of this the fact that tea has zero calories, and there should be no doubt that green tea and weight loss go together. Just drink a cup or two every day, and you should start noticing the positive effects before you know it.

Recipe For Master Cleanse – Body Cleanse 1 Glass At
Recipe For Master Cleanse – Body Cleanse 1 Glass At A Time
Losing weight by using a proven cleanse and dieting program while not easy, isn’t as hard as you may have thought. A lot of it comes down to the level of preparation you allow yourself. The longer you get your head around the concept and the more steps you take to prepare yourself physically the greater your chances of success. When you are mixing up the cleanse ingredients you can do it by the glassful or the pitcher full.
Here is the recipe for master cleanse.
To make a full pitcher so that you can keep the mixture cool and readily available in your refrigerator:
12 Tablespoons each of fresh lemon juice and organic maple syrup, 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper powder, 60 ounces of water.
To make a glass at a time:
1/2 Tablespoon each of lemon juice and maple syrup, 1/16 teaspoon of cayenne pepper powder and 8 ounces of water.
That’s it, pretty simple isn’t it? Even though the recipes are simple that doesn’t mean staying on a liquid only diet for a full ten days will be simple. It can be very challenging and don’t be surprised if you can’t do it, especially on your first attempt.
Mental and physical preparation can help a lot. By simply cutting down on your caloric intake a little bit a few days before the cleanse you can greatly improve your odds. It’s also a good idea to give yourself a few days before the cleanse to ‘get your head around it’. Don’t decide today that you’re going to cleanse and then expect to jump into it tomorrow and be successful. You might be, but the odds aren’t in your favor.
It’s also imperative that you ask your doctor if you can do this cleanse. I’m not a doctor and can’t give medical advice, only your doctor knows you and your medical history and can council you on whether or not this is a safe course of action.
If your doctor says to go for it here are the basics: you will drink this mixture for your daily meals. Make sure you also drink plenty of water to keep your body hydrated. You can expect to lose upwards of 10 to 20 pounds during the ten day cleanse (don’t get disappointed if you gain a few pounds back after the cleanse since a little bit of the weight loss will be water weight).
You will also be ridding your body of potentially deadly toxins that have built up over years. If your doctor says it’s ok you can repeat the cleanse once a month to keep your body clean and toxin free.
If you are disciplined and committed enough to get through the cleanse you can really kick start your weight loss efforts and detoxify your body at the same time. Since the recipe for master cleanse is easy to prepare and the ingredients are easy to find, you’ve really got no excuses, as long as your doc says it’s ok.

Master Cleanse Ingredients – Effective Weight Loss And Body Cleansing
Master Cleanse Ingredients – Effective Weight Loss And Body Cleansing
It’s not often that you can find a highly effective weight loss and cleansing mixture with such easy to find and easy to put together ingredients. When it comes to the master cleanse ingredients it’s really just four main things: lemon juice, maple syrup, cayenne pepper and water. That’s it, what could be simpler?
Some things to keep in mind before you start: for one thing I’m not a doctor and can’t give you medical advice. Make sure you talk to your doctor before you start this or any other diet and detoxifying programs. Also, make sure that when you are assembling the ingredients for your cleanse mixture that you use only all natural organic ingredients.
After all, it’s called a ‘cleanse’ for a reason. You are clearing out the accumulation of toxins and chemicals in your system. If the ingredients you are using for the cleanse are filled with more chemicals and toxins, what’s the point?
When you go on this ten day cleanse you can expect to lose anywhere from 10 to 20 pounds of weight, though not all of the weight loss will be in the form of excess body fat, but rather water weight. Even so,losing that much weight in just a little over a week is a great way to get yourself motivated for your new, healthier lifestyle.
It’s also very beneficial to your body to lose that many toxins. Your body will function so much more efficiently when the buildup of toxins has been removed.
To increase the chances of succeeding on making it through the full ten day course, you can do some things to prepare yourself. Remember, it’s about mental stamina as much as it is about physical. Give yourself a few days up to one week to get used to the idea of the cleanse. Set your start date sometime in the near future and during that ‘waiting’ time start talking yourself into the fact that you can and will succeed on the cleanse.
It’s also helpful to cut back a little on the high calorie, high carbohydrate foods. Get your body used to eating less so that when you are on a strictly liquid diet your system won’t feel such a shock.
After the cleanse is over it’s also very important to slowly ease back into your normal eating habits (though by normal I don’t mean to completely undo all the benefits of the cleanse by going out and gorging on fast food and caffeine). The first few days after the cleanse you shouldn’t eat any solid foods but eat soups and protein shakes. Then after a few days of that you can slowly start adding solid foods back into your diet. Add the ‘lighter’ foods such as soups, salads and chicken or fish.
Don’t expect to be working out full bore while on the cleanse either. You will be providing yourself with the nutrients your body needs, but nothing more. If you over work your body while only on a liquid diet your body may fight back. Also, make sure to drink plenty of water during the cleanse so your body doesn’t get dehydrated.
The master cleanse ingredients are just common things found in most households. Use this mixture as a way to rid your body of excess fat and toxins but only if your doctor says it’s ok.
