An Awesome Alternative Weight Loss By Dancing
If youve ever watched in awe as a professional dancer performed some feat that seems to deny physics and thought, I wish I could do that! you may want to look into weight loss by dancing. If theres one thing that almost every dancer has in common, its that theyre in tip-top physical shape. Needless to say, they didnt get to be that way without a lot of work. Dancing is a demanding physical activity, but its also a lot of fun, two ingredients for a great weight loss plan!
There are two reasons that people might be afraid to try weight loss by dancing. Either theyre too embarrassed to dance in public because theyre overweight, or theyre too self-conscious about their ability to dance in the first place. Fortunately, fitness teachers long ago learned the value of dance as part of an exercise program. Finding a dance class in your area is just in an Internet search away.
No matter what style of music you like to dance to, theres almost guaranteed to be a dance fitness class that makes use of it. Hip hop dancing, ballroom dancing, and even belly dancing classes can help you achieve weight loss by dancing. These classes arent like professional dancing auditions they exist to teach, and will help you along the way. Theres no need to feel embarrassed or self-conscious when trying a dance class.
If you cant overcome your fear of dancing in public, there are other options. A number of dancing and fitness instructors produce videos and DVDs that can teach you how to dance and lose weight in the privacy of your own home. You can lock your door, pull the shades over your windows, and dance your heart out, burning calories all the way. If you stick to it, youll be able to go out and dance in public with fresh confidence.
There are even options for people who arent interested in traditional dancing styles, or those who seek a more competitive edge to losing weight through dancing. There are a number of dancing video games available for home video game consoles that many people, especially youths, have used to achieve drastic weight loss results. While this can be a pricey choice for people who dont own a console, for some people its a perfect option.
These game works by scrolling arrows up the screen, while the player steps on a large pad in time with the beats. Easy levels provide a nicely paced, slow workout, while harder difficulties test the limits of a persons quickness and staying power. These games generally score your performance, meaning theres always a drive to perfect your performance, which is just what some people need.
The biggest complaint people have about trying to lose weight is that it can be really boring and time consuming. Working out gets you fit, but its easy to get bored with repetitive movements and at the end of the day, you havent learned any new skills. Weight loss by dancing is a fun and interesting alternative to a day at the gym.

Are you tired of waking up and seeing your overweight body in the mirror? But in your mind you see the trim, beautiful, sexy body you had when you were younger. However, you know the reality is the body you see in the mirror. Don’t lose hope! You are already on the road to losing the pounds. How? You ask. Read on.
You still have that mental picture in your mind of how you used to look. Now you need to make your mind see that same picture in the future instead of in the past. You have been practicing visualization and weight loss and didn’t even know it. Now it’s time for you to shed those unsightly pounds by really putting your mind in control of your weight loss.
Before you can use visualizations to it’s fullest you need to get a good idea of how it works. What you to do is to paint a picture of the way you want your body to look when you get rid of all those ugly pounds. You hold this image in your mind and as you do; it will penetrate into the subconscious level of your brain.
When it has moved into your subconscisness it will program your body to start moving in that direction of “body beautiful”. This synergy from your mind will cause you to be motivated more easily towards your weight loss. Ultimately the end result is you will find it easier to stick to your diet plan and exercise program.
Presently it’s not fully understood how visualizing a goal, such as weight loss works, but more and more professionals agree that it does. What has been determined is that as long as you truly believe it’s what you want, then you can achieve it. However, in turn if you aren’t convinced you can lose weight, you won’t do it or you will have a much harder time of it.
It has been discovered that when loved ones and people that matter to you are negative about your goals they can impact your weight loss. Stay Healthy With Exercise
Stay Healthy With Exercise
Michael Stefano
As a society, weve been more than convinced of the need for daily exercise. From the gimmicky hype of the television info-mercial, to the sound advice of the family physician, weve been bombarded with the reasons why we need to workout.
The medical community has coined the phrase, The Deadly Quartet, to describe four risk factors that plague Americans in disproportionate numbers:
The Deadly Quartet
Obesity
High blood pressure
High blood cholesterol, and triglyceride levels
Reduced sensitivity to insulin
Despite all this information thats been made available, overweight and out of shape Americans still huff and puff their way through their day. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention reports that obesity alone results in over 300,000 preventable deaths in the United States every year.
More than 60 percent of all Americans are classified as overweight or obese, while at any given time 30 to 40 percent of all Americans are trying to get in shape. An even higher percentage of cardiovascular disease is related to obesity, and being overweight nearly doubles your chance of developing high blood pressure.
But hears the good news, an article published in the March 2001 issue of The Annals of Internal Medicine has revealed that thirty minutes of daily exercise can extend human life.
This elaborate study took place from 1984 to 1989 in Finland using 1300 middle-aged men. Upon follow-up in 1997, researchers recorded 124 total deaths from both cardio and non-cardiovascular causes. After making adjustments for other risk factors (such as age and smoking), low fitness levels were associated with an almost three times higher mortality rate.
Scientists have proven that twenty to thirty minutes of moderate physical activity per day, forestalls the onset of the deadly quartet, and thereby prevents chronic disease, while extending human life.
Following a sensible exercise program will bring about significant change in the bodys chemistry, and its ability to perform work efficiently. This training effect lowers blood pressure, cholesterol and triglyceride levels, as well as increases insulin sensitivity, and thereby forestalling the onset of type II diabetes.
But besides these all-important health benefits, the right kind of exercise also burns fat, and sculpts our bodies into lean, high performance machines. Following a properly orchestrated workout program will not only add years to your life, it will add quality years that are reminiscent of youth, where youll look forward to the dawning of each fun-filled day.
