Diabetic Weight Loss Diet – Healthy Foods Benefit You
If you are diabetic and overweight, you need a good diabetic weight loss diet to not only control your weight but also deal with leveling off your blood sugar. Keeping your weight and blood sugar under control is imperative to reducing the likelihood you will suffer the very serious complications that are known to be associated with diabetes.
Obviously the key to losing weight is to choose healthy foods to eat. Foods that also help control insulin production and release are a plus, too. Learning to eat a balanced diet for some can be a little tricky. An important part of keeping you blood sugar levels under control is learning to balance protein, fats, and carbohydrates of every meal you eat.
Keeping carbohydrates under control is key because some carbohydrates convert almost immediately into simple sugars and cause the pancreas to dump insulin into your system to counteract the meteoric rise in blood sugar. If this is not brought under control, you will find yourself with more problems than just diabetes.
Who knows, maybe if you lose the weight you will not have to prick your finger all the time and inject all of that insulin into your body everyday. Maybe your diabetes will even disappear if you become fit and healthy.
Nutritionists and doctors have changed their thinking that all diabetics are the same and all can follow the same general diet. They can’t. A good diabetic weight loss diet today is tailored to the specific patient and promotes optimum nutrition for optimum health. Simple carbohydrates are kept to a minimum and protein that is high in Omega-3 fatty acids are encouraged. Omega-3 fatty acids are found in abundance in fish with the highest concentration found in salmon.
Diets low in fat and cholesterol and high in green leafy vegetables and high fiber foods like whole grain is very important in controlling diabetes. Fruits should only be eaten in moderation due to their high natural sugar content which can make blood sugar levels spike then fall rapidly due to insulin overload.
Blood sugar levels should be checked regularly before and after meals and before bedtime to get an accurate idea of how the food you eat affects your levels especially when trying to lose weight. Diabetes is no laughing matter and when you are trying to lose weight on top of the diabetes you need to be extra careful. Take things slowly, keep careful, accurate records of each blood sugar check and keep a food journal, too.
Get some ideas for planning your meals and snacks by going to the American Diabetes Association’s website and studying the diabetic food pyramid. You should be able to get some good information about diabetes and diet while on the site and learn to put what you learn into practice.
With Type II diabetes now in epidemic proportions in the United States because of the obesity epidemic following a good diabetic weight loss diet is as vital as the insulin you have been prescribed.

Losing Stomach Fat – Winning Your Battle
This is a battle that millions of people around the world go though. The battle is losing stomach fat. With all the temptation that is out there with fast food and it being so easy just to give into it, its really hard to lose it.
There are some people think that there is a conspiracy theory out there that government puts this stuff out to make it tougher for us to not spend our money. Now personally I dont know about that however but thats for another time and place.
Losing stomach fat isnt easy, we know that. However it can be done if you have a few things in place, and it can be done quicker than you can ever imagine. However those things in place have to be firm and you have to stick with it.
Pick out a good diet plan, there a plenty of them out there however choosing the right one is tricky. Remember not everyone is the same, so that means what might work for your best friend, may not work for you.
A couple of the diets that would work would be a low carb diet and lean protein diet. Low carb food would be grilled chicken and a salad. Really anything grilled would work just make sure it has nothing on it. Lean protein would be turkey breast, chicken breast, egg white.
Now you have the diet in place; now its time to pick out a good workout routine. This can be as tricky as finding a good diet. The reason is you have to find a routine that works for you, you do not want to get into something and then three weeks later get bored of it.
This type of thing happens all the time; people get burned out because they lose interest and frankly just arent having any fun. Having fun is really a big key part of your success so make sure you pick something you are going to enjoy doing.
The types of exercises that are out there a dime a dozen, and like I mentioned before, its just picking the right one. For instance, jogging is a great way to lose that bulge, and if jogging is a little rough on your joints and bones then a brisk walk is just as good. Its all about getting your heart rate and metabolic rate going through the roof.
Once last thing that will help you get rid of that stomach is finding people that want the same thing you do. Not only will it be fun to have those people around, you can lean on each other when things are tough and you all can help each other make it through.
There you have it, the plan is out there, all you have to do is go get it.

There are many ways to lose weight. But is there a right or wrong way? I believe it depends on each individual’s body chemistry. What works for you may not necessarily work for the person next to you.
If you are counting calories, you want to focus on foods that are low in fat and high in protein and fiber. Fresh fruit and vegetables don’t have all the unneeded bi-products.
Protein is an essential part of your diet. Try to choose low fat protein. Such as chicken breast without the skin, low fat yogurt, egg whites. Protein is the building blocks of cells. Let’s face it you want to build your muscle not break it down to be replaced by fat.
Here is a yummy recipe that is one of my favorites. This recipe can be used as a balanced meal or snack consisting of protein, milk product, fruit and grain. Greek Yogurt Parfait: Layer the following: 1 cup Greek fat free yogurt, one cup of strawberries (or berry of your choosing), 2/3 cup low fat granola. Absolutely delicious and filling!
How about a chicken club sandwich for lunch? Lightly toast 2 slices of whole grain bread (think, fiber). Slice a piece of grilled chicken or turkey breast (no skin, too much fat). You can use light or fat free mayo, a dab of mustard. Top with lettuce, ripe tomato, pickles on the side. There you have it: low cal, fat; high protein, fiber.
Now, what’s for dinner? I thought you would never ask. Marinade a pack of chicken breast (no skin) overnight (I prefer lemon-pepper). Make a mixture of cooked chopped broccoli, cream of celery. Tenderize the chicken breast till it is as big as your hand. Place a spoonful of broccoli mixture in the center, fold all sides, secure with toothpick. Sprinkle Pepperidge Farm Stuffing on top, lightly sprinkle fat free cheese as well. Place in oven 350 degrees for approximately 30-45 minutes.
There are so many different recipes out there to try to help you lose weight. Or you can simply take your favorite recipes and put a healthy twist to it. Making right food choices and turning that into a life style change is key to long term success.

Lose Pounds Quick
How do I lose pounds quick? That’s the million dollar question. For the most part, its not about losing pounds quickly but keeping those pounds off for good!
Let’s begin with a diet that is high in protein but low in carbs. A low carb diet, if done correctly, will put your body in a state of ketosis (fat burning metabolism).
Stay away from sugar, flour anything refined. Eat food the way your ancestors intended you to eat. Such as steak with salad. Bacon and eggs. There is nothing added to these items. Simple is better.
Sodas, cut them out! Have you looked at the nutritional label lately on a bottle of pop? Let me tell you, OMG! Some of them have 28 grams of sugar and 20-30 grams of sodium per serving. Let me remind you, a serving is 8 oz. This equals one measuring cup.
Talk about water retention and not to mention all those liquid calories you’re washing down your gullet. Oh, I almost forgot the damage the sugar in sodas can damage your teeth. Tooth decay, does soda still sound so irresistible?
Stay away from processed food. The food industry puts all kinds of preservatives in the food to keep it edible. What that means to you? Sodium or in other words BLOATED! Stick to eating small servings of fresh fruits and vegetables.
Drink a lot of water. At least 8 glasses a day. I know that sounds like a lot. But you need the water to flush out the fat and toxins that are built up in your body from eating over processed food. Water not only helps people lose weight. It also helps skin appear healthier. You will even feel more vibrant.
Do you have a sweet tooth? Most of the cakes, pastries, candies, etc… Have an enormous amount of fat and calories in each serving. Don’t think you can do without your chocolate fix? Try eating a piece of dark chocolate. It actually has healthy anti oxidants.
I am not a fan of the liquid diets but that is an option to consider. Remember to drink shakes that are high in protein. Throw in a few pieces of fruit to make a fruit smoothie. Be sure to watch those calories though.
There are quite a bit of options out there on how to lose pounds quick. But most importantly be safe! Make healthy life long diet decisions. Like drink more water, cut down on sodas and sweets. After all, its your body and you only get one. So treat yourself right.
