Cant Lose Weight
I know it is frustrating, but did you know there are so many reasons a woman can t lose weight it is like the whole world, and our bodies, is working against us. I am not kidding, with so many things not in our favor it is amazing that any woman can lose the weight she wants to.
It’s just not fair, I mean, men can seemingly eat what they want and if they should put on a few extra pounds all they have to do is think about it and the extra weight is gone, right? Ok, maybe not all of them but I know a guy who just recently lost 35 pounds in about 7 weeks. It took me 6 months to lose that amount of weight then as soon as I stopped working hard at it, I put it all back on and then some.
On average women carry 6 – 11 percent more body fat then men do. This is necessary for the regulation of certain hormones and regular menstruation not to mention having all the curves in all the right places. But if you have too much body fat and can t lose weight don’t you think you deserve some answers?
One of the reasons is that sometimes we think that if we do not eat we can lose weight. This is so far from the truth that when you read this you will probably kick yourself. Skipping meals is the number one reason why women GAIN weight. That’s right, I said gain weight.
Why? Because our bodies enter into what I like to call starvation mode and instead of burning off the excess it holds on to it because it doesn’t know when it will be getting more fuel. Your metabolism actually slows way down almost to the point of not working at all. So the fix is to eat five or six small meals a day to keep your metabolism stoked. Make those meals as low carb as you can get, too.
Another reason is lack of exercise. Did you know that all you need to do is walk for thirty minutes a day to lose those extra pounds? Who can’t do that? Ask a friend to do this with you or record some favorite music on your mp3 player and just get moving. This along with your new eating plan should be enough to start losing some significant weight.
If you have not yet reached the age for menopause or even perimenopause you might want to do all you can to lose the weight before the time comes. Once you reach this age losing weight will become even more difficult. Menopause comes at different times for every woman so talk to you mother and find out the age she went through it. This is as good a starting point as anything.
Other reasons a woman can t lose weight include stress, lack of significant restful sleep, and ineffective blood sugar metabolism. Which does not mean that you have diabetes, so don’t worry, it could just mean you eat too many carbs and you are keeping your insulin production at a high rate. When this happens your body automatically converts the carbs you eat to sugar and when that sugar doesn’t get burned up, your body converts it and stores it as fat, usually around your middle section.

What To Do If You Cant Lose Weight
You have tried diet after diet, you have endured exercise program after exercise program, and after all of that, you still want to know what to do if you can’t lose weight. If that sounds familiar, then you should know that you are not alone. A lot of people have tried all sorts of things to lose weight, all without any lasting success. Sure, you may lose a few pounds, but then you gain most of it back (or even end up weighing more than when you started).
Even though a lot of people have this problem, there really isn’t a universal solution; that’s because everybody is different. However, there are also some basic principles of weight loss that apply to virtually anybody.
If you are currently on a diet, and aren’t able to take off enough weight, then you have to take a close look at the diet plan to see if it can really work. Pay attention to the total number of calories it recommends per day, and see if it is too heavy or restrictive on certain groups of foods.
Each person needs a different number of calories, depending on various factors. If you take in more calories than you need, then it stands to reason that losing weight isn’t going to happen. But, the real problem can be taking in too few calories. While you may lose some weight, your body will go into starvation mode, and store a much higher percentage of your caloric intake. In other words, it won’t burn off as many calories as it normally would. This also makes it next to impossible to shed extra pounds. Therefore, you need to be on a diet that has the right amount of calories for you personally.
The other thing to watch out for are diets that are unbalanced. Most fad diets get popular because they have a gimmick of some kind. The Grapefruit Diet, Cabbage Diet and Cottage Cheese Diet are a few examples that put an emphasis on eating a particular food. There are also diets which restrict carbohydrates or fat, but if they don’t include a wide range of food choices then the odds of your getting results are low, and the odds of having permanent results are even lower.
Can all of those diets work? Yes! But…there is a catch. As mentioned, they almost always have a gimmick of some kind. It’s this gimmick that makes them popular. They use their little tricks to hide the real “secret” behind losing weight. This is important if you’re still wondering what to do if you can’t lose weight. The real secret is this: The only way to lose weight is to burn more calories than you take in.
That may not sell a lot of fad diets, but that’s what it all comes down to. If you can’t seem to get rid of those extra pounds, then you need to either reduce how many calories you’re taking in, or increase how many calories you’re burning off.

Healthy Eating Facts You Should Know
It’s truly amazing there is anything anybody can agree on when it comes to what we eat. It seems as though we are bombarded with new scientific findings and new diet plans on a daily basis. To make matters worse, it often seems as though this information is contradictory. What’s a person to do? Well, you can rest easy, because there are some basic principles of eating that haven’t changed, and aren’t likely to change.
Let’s start with calories. A lot of fad diets do what they can to confuse the issue. They talk of “negative calorie” foods, or how special foods can burn fat. However, it all comes down to this: calories are energy. Therefore, if you want to lose weight, then you have to take in fewer calories than you burn.
If you want to gain weight, then you do the opposite. Also, if you restrict your caloric intake too much, your body will go into starvation mode, and will burn off calories much more slowly, making it harder to lose weight (if that’s your goal). So, that means you shouldn’t go too low in how much you eat, but rather take a sensible approach to your diet.
The other important aspect of calories is that all of them should count. That doesn’t mean you should count your calories and become obsessed with them. What it does mean, however, is that all of the calories you take in should have some nutritional value, or that they should count for something. That means getting rid of any empty calories. One of the biggest culprits here are sweetened soft drinks. these often are loaded with sugar and have zero nutritional value.
Now let’s turn to the fat in our diets. It wasn’t all that long ago that food manufacturers decided to roll out low-fat versions of many different products. This was in the hopes of capturing a share of the health-conscious market. While it is a fact that fat has 9 calories per gram (protein and carbohydrates only have 4), not all fats are the same.
For example, it is widely accepted that there is no healthy amount of trans fats; therefore you should do your best to completely eliminate them from your diet. Saturated fats are the next worst, but you can have some in your diet without too much worry, though you should limit them. Then there are the two categories of healthy fats: monounsaturated and polyunsaturated. You can’t necessarily eat as many of these as you want, but if you are going to be eating fats (and you should get some), then these are the better choices.
All eating really comes down to these two basic things: calories and fat. What diet plan you follow doesn’t matter as much as how you eat. So, when choosing an eating plan, be sure to look it over and that it also takes a sensible approach. When you do this, you will not only feel better about being on a healthy plan, you will also be much more likely to stick to it.

Calorie Reduction Diet Lose 5 10 15 Lbs
No matter how hard we all try to lose weight, no matter how many gimmicks we buy into, no matter how many miracle foods or super foods claim all kinds of weight loss guarantees, just about any family physician will say the same thing when you ask him how to shed a few pounds. Exercise more and eat less. That translates into getting off your butt and move, and following a calorie reduction diet.
The only thing you really need to be concerned about when deciding how you are going to attack your calorie reduction diet plan, is to reduce the number of calories you getting sufficiently enough to make weight loss happen while at the same time getting enough calories (and nutrients) to keep your body from going into starvation mode.
We have long known that calories must be cut from most peoples diets if they are going to lose weight, but if you are one of those people who already has a very limited calorie intake and you still find yourself unable to lose weight, you may actually need to eat more calories! This is what happens: Your body is designed to survive at all costs.
That means that, according to your bodily system, if you go eating 800 calories a day all of a sudden, your body system begins to think some tragedy has befallen you and you are unable to find food. So, your body goes into ultra drive to protect you and conserves its consumption of calories so you dont starve to death. If you have long been eating carefully-counted food as part of a long-term calorie reduction diet and you have stopped losing weight, consult your physician for advice about whether or not to add more calories to your eating plan.
Even though many people find themselves in the above category, most of us still eat more than we can burn off, so we need to follow a calorie reduction diet. The easiest way to do that is to cut out anything we know is fattening. It really isnt all that complicated. If food is naturally occurring, it is likely to be the best for you and most likely to be a good part of a calorie reduction diet.
That means you should be spending ninety percent of your grocery shopping time in the produce and meat sections. Eat lots of raw or steamed vegetables, consume a moderate amount of lean protein, and avoid man-made food as much as possible. Before you put it in your buggy, ask yourself, Did nature provide this or did man? If the answer is man, leave it in the store.
Examples of man-made items include: bread, pastries, canned vegetables, pretzels, potato chips, cakes, pasta, egg noodles, and so on.
Examples of nature-provided items include: broccoli, green beans, carrots, fruits, lean meats, nuts, and so on.
Along with counting calories, look for God or nature-created foods when choosing how to eat on your calorie reduction diet.
